Telephones

Telephones -- for purposes in this database are referring to landlines, with or without cords -- are devices which transmit and receive sound, typically the human voice.

Consider donation or reuse if in good condition. Older, vintage landline telephones without "electronics" though electrical, may go into the garbage. Modern telephone systems with electronic components - think digital screen and having a computer chip - would be considered an electronic device and when broken or beyond repair, considered e-waste.
