Plastic Film & Wrap

Plastic film is soft plastic that does not hold its shape when squished or crumpled in your hands. Plastic film may be multi-colored and is often used to wrap packages.

Some grocery stores still offer plastic film recycling drop-off bins for clean, dry plastic bags, but in many cases, the material is too contaminated to be processed and thus landfilled. When you can, try to avoid the packaging in the first place by shopping locally or buying secondhand.
