Corks - Natural

Corks are usually made from natural cork or plastic, and are used to contain wine or other liquids in a glass container.

Consider repurposing corks before collecting for recycling. Did you know cork comes from the bark of the cork oak, native to the Mediterranean, and does well in the Bay Area? Bark stripping is carried out manually, and the tree regenerates the bark. Cork oaks can live to 200 years of age.
