For over fifty years, we have provided independent living resources and support to youth, adults and seniors with disabilities and their families in Northern Alameda County (AC), including Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, Emeryville, Piedmont and Albany. Engaging in one-on-one consultations with our Assistive Technology (AT) Coordinator is the first step in understanding which supports are best tailored to your needs. Whether your goals revolve around mobility, hearing, communication, vision devices, or cognitive challenges, we’re here to guide you through the myriad of options available. Use this online form to offer donations. Loaner & Repair program.

Medical Equipment & Surplus Accept donations, and uses them for the loaner program. They also have a repair program. Use online forms or call them to inquire. Main product types: portable and modular ramps, electric and manual wheelchairs, electric scooters, rollators, walkers, and knee scooters, emergency tech, Bedroom: grab bars & rails, Bathroom: grab bars, commodes, and stools, and TECH: adaptive switches and wifi-connected plugs.
