Owned by the South Bay Waste Management Authority (RethinkWaste.org), the SEC is open to the public and accepts items from residents, businesses, and contractors. The facility includes a buyback of California Redemption Value (CRV) materials and cardboard, and free drop-off for a wide variety of materials such as scrap metal, film plastic, curbside recyclables, batteries, used motor oil and latex paint.
