makeshift: center for material studies is a gathering point for engagements with craft through workshops, meet-ups, reading groups, lectures, and skill sharing, that are in conversation with a larger history of making objects by hand. They are based in Oakland, CA and operating pop-up style around the east-bay area. Donations of goods include basic infrastructure we need to host students and workshops (tables, chairs, shade structures, dye pots, etc). Contact directly regarding donation drop-off. Locations of pop-ups change; address is just one location venue.
