HAPI was founded to fill a critical gap in human/animal services, to support families in keeping their pets and to help lost pets get reunited with the people who love them. By addressing this urgent need in Oakland, HAPI will reduce shelter intake and contribute to better outcomes for animals in this community. HAPI supports Oakland Animal Services who expends considerable time and other resources to rehome animals.

List of items that we accept and do not accept. Please do not leave items that we do not accept, dirty items, or items that can no longer be used, as we will have to do the work of bringing the items to the dumpster to throw them away. We accept donations of gently used items and always appreciate donations of much-needed items from our wish list. We keep our wish lists up-to-date so any items you see on there is still needed. Items from wish list can be used.
