Accepts the materials listed below at no charge for households and with a charge for qualifying businesses in: Alamo, Blackhawk, Clayton, Concord, Clyde, Danville, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Orinda, Pacheco, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon, Walnut Creek and other unincorporated areas in Central County.

Quantity limitations: Regulations limit households to no more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds of waste per vehicle, per visit.

Asbestos Facility accepts friable asbestos containing materials (FACM) only. Friable asbestos is any material containing more than one percent asbestos and that can be crumbled or reduced to powder by simple hand pressure. Forms of friable asbestos can be found in materials and products made prior to the mid 1970’s such as: “popcorn” ceiling coatings, uncoated pipe insulations (without the pipe or ducting), and loose appliance insulation. A certification by a licensed laboratory showing that the material contains asbestos above 1 percent, may be required.
