Closed for the 4th of July, Thanksgiving Week: Nov 24-30, Christmas Week: Dec 22-28
Residential (households) Program: Free drop-off for hazardous wastes generated in the course of living in and maintaining your place of residence in Alameda County. Drop-off during open hours (online appointment no longer needed). Driver's License required or proof of residence if recently moved or in the military (recent utility bill or copy of a rental/ownership agreement). Swap Shed open Saturdays 3-4pm (free products in good condition for reuse (not for resale/redistribution)).
Drop-off for Rental Property Owner's is free with program registration.

Fuel | Fuel & automotive fuel filters. Fuel can be transported in a container other than a gas can , so long as the container is sealed and compatible with the waste. Fuel containers can be emptied and returned – after the facility closes for drop-off for the day (generally after 2:30pm) or a following open day up to a month later. Label your container with your name and phone number. No appointment needed to pick up a container. Other Fuels: HHW Facilities do accept butane, isobutane and propane “camping” type cylinders. Acceptance is limited to small sizes, 1 pound or less for propane, and similar volumes for butane/isobutane. The HHW facilities also accept propane cylinders sold for barbeque use, up to 20 pound (“5 gallon”) size. |
