Welcome to RE:Source! Your online directory for reuse, repair and proper disposal options for the Bay Area. Although we do our best to stay up-to-date, information is constantly changing and we encourage you to call ahead to verify hours and availability.

Gel Ice Packs

Reuse as possible before disposal. Do not empty gel packs down the drain or toilet, unless the manufacturer instructions allow for "gel" to go down drain. Recycle plastic film where possible or put in the trash. Note that some gel packs have labeling safe to composting or gardening with the listed ingredients including ammonium; contact the company first to determine if there are unlisted ingredients before you use in such a format, in addition to diluting.

Oakland accepts this item in your curbside garbage container.
