Mattresses & Box Springs

Donate or offer up your mattress, box spring, and futon for reuse to your community before recycling. Find a collection site at ByeByeMattress for no cost or a small incentive payment. New mattress being delivered? California law requires retailers to offer to take back your old one at no cost. Learn what gets recycled from a mattress.

Mattresses that are twisted, frozen, soaked in bodily fluids, or have living critters will not be accepted for recycling and must be landfilled (see full list).

Clean and dry pillows, mattress toppers, bed frames and bedlinens to be donated separately.
