Mattresses & Box Springs
Donate or offer up your mattress, box spring, and futon for reuse to your community before recycling. Find a collection site at ByeByeMattress for no cost or a small incentive payment. Wet, moldy, and/or bed bug items must be landfilled and will not be accepted for recycling.
New mattress being delivered? California law requires retailers to offer to take back your old one at no cost.
Clean and dry pillows, mattress toppers, bed frames and bedlinens to be donated separately.

Search the website for Event Locations, Collections Sites, and Recycling Facilities near you in California. A $3 incentive per unit is available at select locations. It is limited to 5 units per vehicle per day. The incentive is only available for residents dropping off their household units. California residents can drop off their old mattresses, box springs, and futon mattresses (not the frames) at no-cost at a participating collection site or event. Unit limits vary by location and a residency restrictions may apply. We recommend contacting the location prior to drop-off.
