Cardboard

Flatten cardboard before recycling to gain space in your recycling container. Offer moving boxes to other for reuse before recycling. Large cardboard boxes make sheet mulching easier (www.LawntoGarden.org) and may be wanted by neighbors, especially bike and furniture boxes through social media (ex. NextDoor, FreeCycle, Craigslist).

Oakland accepts this item in your curbside recycling container.

Cut or fold to fit into bin. Offer collapsed moving boxes to community for reuse or sheet mulching. See hauler website for overage options, or store for a future pick-up.
