Residents should contact their Household Hazardous Waste Facility about marine flares (hand-held, aeriel, and smoke) & signal kit (explosives) collection events for recreational boaters. For military type, damaged, decayed, very old, or very large items contact the staff at your HHW Facility directly before bringing it in.

Get rid of you expired flares for free at this one-day collection event on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022 . Make an appointment for easy drop-off: www.StopWaste.org/marineflares or call 800-606-6606. Open to recreational boaters residing in or berthing a boat in Alameda County. Flares from a commercial boat or organization not accepted.
