| Thriftbooks | Reuse | Buyback Mail-in | Thriftbooks partners with paper recycling companies across the country to help them earn more from books that might otherwise be recycled. Many of our recycling partners receive books through public drop-offs, thrift stores, schools, libraries, and other community sources. They scan books into gaylords for our BuyBack program, and we purchase the books with resale value, typically paying around $1 per book or about $1,000 per gaylord, depending on the mix. The remaining books continue through their normal recycling process, allowing them to generate revenue from both reusable books and recycled fiber while maximizing the value of every load.
