Recycle damaged, torn, out of dates book, completely highlighted/written in, and the removed hard covers. Small amounts of hard cover books should be placed in a recycling bin at a time (<20). The binding on hard cover books is a major issue for hard cover book recycling as it is very challenging for the recycling machinery to process.
