Rechargeable batteries are small electro-chemical cells designed to be recharged by the consumer and used to power many types and sizes of devices.
Do not put batteries in curbside recycling or trash containers.
Tape the ends of batteries to prevent igniting or combusting. Store tape next to your old battery collection bag or container. Accepted by the Household Hazardous Waste Facilities and some community partners.
Drop-off electric bicycle batteries for recycling at Call2Recycle e-bike collection sites- which are often bike shops.
