Aerosol Can - Non-empty

Aerosol cans dispense common substances such as hairspray, cleaning products (lysol), whipped cream, medicine (asthma inhalers), and cooking spray. Not empty aerosol cans with non-food product remains (eg. chemicals, medicine, paints, cleaners) are considered hazardous waste.

Household Hazardous Waste

This item should never be put in a curbside bin. For more information visit our household hazardous waste page.

Use up toxic materials, find someone who can use it, or bring it to a hazardous waste facility. Empty aerosol cans may be accepted for recycling; place with cap separated from can.
