Christmas Trees: Natural (unflocked) Christmas Trees that do not fit in your green organics cart can be placed next to your green cart for pick-up on your regular collection day. You must first remove tree stands, tinsel, lights and any ornaments before placing out for collection. Flocked trees must be disposed of as trash.

Annual General Clean-up: Residential customers can dispose of up to 1.5 cubic yards (equal to eleven (11) 32-gallon plastic bags) of extra waste curbside once a year during the annual clean-up event scheduled for each September (visit website or call 510-237-4614 for specific dates). Bagged material (NO LOOSE ITEMS) must be in front of your home by 6:00am; place curbside nearest to the center of your property. Household Hazardous Waste (must be taken to your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facility), e-waste, rocks, dirt, cement, wood, ashes, heavy metal, paint, green waste or similar material will not be collected Any items that may damage the packing mechanism of the trucks will not be collected. Any larger items SUCH AS furniture, mattresses, etc. can be collected for an additional fee. However, YOU MUST CALL THE OFFICE (510-237-4614) ahead of time to schedule this.
